Dr. Nasser bin Hamad Al Hanzab, President of the UNESCO Executive Board, recently commended Qatar for its significant contributions toward safeguarding education during global crises and conflicts. Speaking at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris during an event marking the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, Al Hanzab emphasized the critical impact of the Education Above All Foundation. The event, themed 'Can Education Survive Attacks? Human Societies' Resilience,' was attended by UNESCO Director-General Dr. Khaled El Enany and various international delegates. Al Hanzab noted that Qatar's advocacy has successfully elevated the protection of learning environments to a higher level of global concern, following the United Nations General Assembly's formal adoption of resolutions aimed at shielding educational institutions from violence.
