A passenger and cargo vessel, the M/V June Aster, caught fire on Wednesday evening while navigating approximately two kilometers off the coast of Palawan. The incident resulted in at least five confirmed fatalities, while rescue teams are currently searching for more than 80 individuals reported missing. In a formal statement released on Thursday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized its solidarity with the Philippine nation and offered support to the families affected by the tragedy.
