The United States Embassy in Yemen has issued a statement holding the Houthi movement accountable for the ongoing conflict, asserting that they must face the repercussions of their hostile actions. The embassy reaffirmed that the internationally recognized Yemeni government possesses the legitimate authority to protect its citizens and neutralize threats posed by the group. Furthermore, the statement emphasized that Saudi Arabia maintains the right to safeguard its borders and population while assisting the Yemeni government in countering Houthi activities. Concurrently, the European Union has formally denounced the recent strikes targeting civilian and economic facilities in southern Saudi Arabia. These attacks resulted in 73 civilian injuries, including women and children. The European bloc expressed its solidarity with the Kingdom and reiterated that the targeting of non-combatants and essential infrastructure is entirely unacceptable.
