Kazakhstan's national weather service, Kazhydromet, has released storm warnings for October 20 due to deteriorating meteorological conditions. The forecast predicts a combination of rain, snow, fog, and icy surfaces across several areas. Astana is bracing for strong winds shifting from southwesterly to northwesterly, with speeds reaching 20 meters per second. The Akmola Region is expected to face particularly harsh conditions, including potential dust storms and wind gusts peaking at 28 meters per second in certain northern and eastern sectors. Similarly, Kokshetau and the Aktobe Region are under alerts for high-velocity winds. Authorities advise residents to exercise caution as these weather patterns impact visibility and road safety throughout the affected territories.
